Introduction: Greetings one and all! You will be going on a wonderful and magical journey to a whole new world. You will be discovering the world of butterflies. You are going on a butterfly catching adventure and your job is to be a butterfly fact catcher and catch all the information you can about butterflies. Task: By the end of this web quest, you will be able to explain the life cycle of the butterfly, describe where they live, describe what they eat, name their body parts and a few other interesting facts. You will even discover there are many different kinds of butterflies all around the world. Duties/Process:
Your Job: 1. Visit Zoom School and see if you can figure out the four stages of development of a butterfly. Write them down and turn them in to Mrs. Cowan. 2. Visit Enchanted Learning to see if you can figure out what you need to feed a butterfly. Write at least 4 things that feed butterflies and submit to Mrs. Cowan. 3. Print the following link, click here, and label the parts of the butterfly. Submit it to Mrs. Cowan for evaluation. 4. Visit any of the links below to gather additional information on the butterfly. 5. Write a report describing everything you have learned about butterflies. Be sure to include a picture. Submit it to Mrs. Cowan so that she may scan it and post your wonderful work. Good Luck! Rubric/Evaluation:
